not trying to be a *****, but you don't have enough bass then. a friend of mine used to have a competition system...8 15's in a S10 blazer with about 10,000 watts rms, 6 batteries, and 2 altenators, and he paid TOP dollar for the install and equipment. before the install he had them take the interior apart down to nothing....like you'd see it at the factory and then they lined it with not 1, but 2 layers of dynamat extreme on the roof, and sides. and 1 layer on the floor, firewall, doors, and hatch gate. it STILL rattled.
so YOUR system may not rattle with dynamat in it, but like i said, with enough bass it's going to rattle.

i did a 128.7db on the new termlab on a BASSRACE.... i coulda done beter cause this was my first bassrace. didnt even know it was a average number for the whole time, so i was turnen it up and down trying to get my voltage higher for a good hit.... and that with my old box setup. just the 12 firing towards the rear with a 4inch aero port out the side. it was just a REALY QUICK BOX!
with my SPLmeter.com unit my best number on it was been like 140.8
i got quite a bit of bass right now.... tho as soon as i upgrade the alternator im gonna get another amplifier and get a diferent 12inch sub from FIaudio.com that can take the 2400watts daily.
but that might be awhile cause that whole upgrade aint gonna be cheap.LOL
and i realy dont like to sell my old equipment anymore! i like to keep it as a backup... plus i got great deals on my current sub and my old subs.
with enough bass you can rattle anything YES i aint gonna argue with ya thier BUT a blazer does rattle alot.LOL
i had a 96jimmy and with a single 15 and 1500watts it rattled like a ****!!!! and talk about roof flex!
BUT again my exterior rattling is little if any! and only alittle interior noises BUT once ya turn it up so loud....... the bass covers up small rattles.LOL i dont like my door skin movement either it moves quite a bit! cheap thin skins! i will probably have to dynomat them eventualy.... but right now my car only has about 3ft of peel and seal CHEAP gutter sealing deadening material on the rear liscence plate trim panel.
before i fired the sub thru the rear and somewhat sealed it off my truck rattled like a ****! i hated it!
im definatly no newb when it comes to my bass! been instaling my own systems for about 10years now. and i do all my work! build the boxes run all the wires and everything! why pay for someone to do it when if you just buy the tools then ya just need more wood if ya decide to change
tho my best tool for box building that i just bought afew months ago is my nail gun... I LOVE THAT THING! so much easier than predrilling and countersinking all them screws!
BUT if ya dont believe my truck rattled like a **** SORRY no videos of my 12inch SX with 1200watts cause the rattling as so bad i didnt want to video tape it.LOL
BUT this is a video of my old 2 10inch REaudio RE model subs with 300watts....
just listen to the around 3/4 the way thru i go to my truck.... and that was with only a paper plate on the rear.LOL sorry video is alittle jumpy but thats photobucket raping my quality down! still gotta upload it to tube...

OOOOOOOOOOO EDIT........ i did find a video of my 12sx in the rear fire box...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ih1-9pQzRrA
NOW COMPARE THAT to with it firing forwads......... ITS WELL WORTH THE WORK and a few bass notes not sounding right.LOL

i'm not trying to bash your sytem, but a 129 isn't all that loud IMO. admirral, but i wouldn't call it loud i was getting a 145 with an 18" in a crappy box with a conservative amp on it. bumped it up to 148.3 with a ported box and about 1200 watts rms. best i ever got out of that sub/box was a 149.5 with about 2400 watts rms on it.
and even with the trunk lined with dynamat extreme it would rattle other parts of the car. the trunk would move, and make a low tone rattle as it moved, but the roof would rattle, the door skin would vibrate, the side mirrors would move, hell, you could even see the windshield wipers dancing. i wear glasses and it would vibrate them on my face

well a 18inch sub.... o ya... of course those are gonna get louder! i had a 18inch XXX in my truck before with 2500watts BUT never had it metered.....
and the XXX is more of a SQ driver.
then i upgraded to 2 15inch SX subs more of a SQL drivers with that same 2500watts and did 156.3db on the new termlab and with no testing at all.... and it was the first time i ever got metered so i only tested two tones.... and i did my beter score on the last note and time ran out so i couldnt test anyhigher
but it was loud enough that made it realy hard to swallow! i loved that tho they rattled the crap outta my rear wall of my extended cab truck!

its all install dependent. i do over a 150 on the TL in the kick with a type R, and a orion 2500d. clamped at 1600 rms......so its not the sub, its the install........and i bass race over a 145....with some jeezy

Hey Inferno... I am probably the BIGGEST beginner to doing anything remotely technical and I built the sub box with a friend! All you need is the tools and a day off to do it... I reupholstered my whole trunk by myself and it looks incredible, too! I used the DIY that remmy posted and it has been the coolest thing I have done!
I am the type that pays a shop to change my bulbs because I am afraid to break something and I still was able to do a great job with a sub that really works great!

Its all personal preference really IMHO. I prefer Kicker Solo-Baric subs, and DEI. But all of these brands are great really. Its all about getting them in the right enclosure, and putting a good amount of CLEAN power to them. Whatever you go with.. Good luck...
