Woah man....not so sure about that whole process. I think keepin them in the tube will work just fine for me. You got some real good ideas on the whole lighting thing though.

just maken it breath alittle beter. intake and eventualy header, tho probably keepen stock piipes due to i like it quite.... my intake is loud enough for me

i aint swappin nothin in mine either but i like to work on the engine. Knowledge of cars is very helpful and can save you alot of labor $$. Plus its sweet when you put a new part in your car and the install goes smoothly and it looks/sounds/performs really good and you know you did it yourself.

dito.... only time i take something into the stealership is when thiers a BIG PROBLEM! and to buy parts of course...

but ill never have any big work done again at a stealership of any make! i got a huge shaft with my old 96jimmy S10! they quoted like 1,300bucks for a TUNE UP!!!! A TUNE UP..... and afew small other things computer reprogram and a knock sensor... i did all i could myself and had them pop in the knock sensor and computer reprogram just to pay with my credit card and hear the tech say.... HOPE ITS FIXED FOR YA.... and wouldnt ya know IT DIDNT CHANGE A DAM THING! still had a horible shift!
NEVER AGAIN!!!!
i took it to a little 3car garage after the tranny shop changed the fluid and pointed me to them.... it took 20min to find the problem and 65bucks for the part... and only 1/2 hour or less to pop in the new part and drive it out... with also only 65bucks an hour labor compared to 90bucks an hour at the stealership....
F the dealerships!!!! never again will i go to them for anything other than parts that they only carry!
1,300bucks compared to a 150dollar fix.......
TOTAL STEALERSHIP! if the computer doesnt tell them what to do they would be dead cause they didnt breath in!

im all for the back yard fixen or the 3car garage small shop when it comes to my vehicles!
i can do most repairs thanks to my dads shop in the back yard..... well not shop but our own work area. we got everything in thier besides some misc tools and computer systems!
and a car lift which I WISH WE HAD!

yeah theres a little shop in town that i bring my car to all the time. they let me go under the car with 'em when its up on the lift and there really cool about, usually do EXACTLY waht i want and for the cheapest price around. Having a lift at home would be heaven. And theres no Dynos in the UP of Michigan, at all. The closest one is somehwere in Wisconsin [:@] haha i know this is an "underbody neon" thread, but i need to vent somewhere. This is ridiculous [:@]
