Then I turn my car on, and the head unit doesn't turn on at all!! What the hell did I do?? I know it has to be a big eff up..hopefully it isnt too bad..might be a fuse?

Check your fuses. If you wired everything correctly (ie, with fuses) you probabaly didn't damage anything. If you DID use fuses, there's a good chance you fried one.
When you hook it up next time, first disconnect the battery (ALWAYS negative first, then positive). Then connect positive and ground on the amp, and lastly, connect positive battery, and then ground on the battery.

How about next time just leave it to an audio shop. It will probably cost you less that ruining an electrical system.
Why did you just start going wire crazy without disconnecting your battery terminals???
Please tell me you used a fuse in your power cable!!

From what I gather you aren't that knowledgeable about your car (don't mean to bash)
Just take it up to your dealer or a local shop and let them check it before something else happens.
Without seeing the car not sure what else to tell you.
