its a mono amplifier right?
so the 4 output terminals on the amplifier are internaly bridged...

wire them as OPTION 2 SHOWS!!!!!!!! NOT 1 or 3.... ONLY OPTION 2 !!!!!!!

So how would I do it with a 2 channel amp? (everyone posted diagrams with a mono block)
Edit: Sorry, I thought that because there was 2 positive and 2 negatives on the amp that it was 2 channel. So your saying I should have both positives going into one terminal on the amp, and both negatives connected to one terminal as well? (so use 2 terminals instead of all 4?)

And one last question (sorry, I just wanna make 100% sure, this stuff wasn't cheap I don't wanna blow it right away) the amp is rated 800W RMS x 1 @ 2Ohms, and the subs are 400W RMS each, so it should be perfect right? (the amp won't blow the subs right?)

if it is a MONO amplifier and your sure about it. then change the wiring up.
if you dont want to get into the box then you can wire them up alittle differently on the amplifier.
your subs themselves are wired at 1ohm each. if you wire them like you pictured its wired to the amplifier at 0.5ohms which will blow the amplifier.
BUT if you wire the 2 subwoofers together in series it will up the ohm load to 2ohms. you dont have to use all 4 of the amplifier output terminals. the extra set is there for just easier wiring...
if in doubt find a friend with a multimeter or just go buy a cheapie from walmart and check the ohm load on the wires yourself.

I see where his confusion is. The Exile x1200.1 is one of "those" monoblock amps with TWO sets of speaker outputs! Wire each individual sub in series then connect the corresponding wires to the amp, just like the 2 channel amp: http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/..._2-ohm_2ch.jpg
ETA: Make certain you get your + and - correct on the amp because it will be slightly different in the diagram above!
ETA 2: To the OP, is this how your amp looks?

Yes, except my remote wire is on the left side. I wired it like option 2:

That will work right? I just have to drill in the ground 2morrow morning and I wanna hear it right away, but not if I wired it wrong! Please confirm that that is the right way to do it, thanks.

yes if you wired it as option 2, from one negative voice coil to the other voice coils positive then yes your good to go!
remember for the ground to remove the paint around the grounds ring terminal... i typicaly use preexisting bolt holes tho... like the bumpers 2 bolts going straight down on both sides going straight down those work good as long as you clean the paint down to bear metal to it makes a good connection.
just be carefull drilling holes in the car! before you drill always look under that area and make sure there is no wires, brake/fuel lines, fuel tank, exhaust or anything that it could posibly hit if ya drill thru! ive heard of lots of people poking holes in there gas tanks from not looking where the drill! its alot more common then you would think so just check before ya drill!

Well, just found I ****ed up again...:@
I just read in the manual that came with my amp "Minimum 12 gauge speaker wire" I used 16 :@ Now I gotta unscrew the subs, buy new wire, rewire everything, found out I need a bigger fuse too, and a longer ground wire, this is getting frustrating...
