Default sound detining cause rust??

ok,im just about to put some dynamat down in my trunk and so on and then i was just thinking, does this cause rust? the reason why i am questioning this is because if u ever leave like a carboard box in your trunk or where the spare wheel is, is will become soggy from the mosture i guess, so if i put dynamat on my trunk lid and down where my wheel well is and so on, will mosture get trapped inbetween the metal and the dynamat and create rust??? comments? findings? thanks

No. It does not cause rust. Dynamat only absorbs vibration. All it is is aluminum and a sticky rubber compound. Last time I checked, those 2 dont absorb moisture.

Never heard of it causing rust. In fact if you get it sealed up against whatever you're mounting it on real good without any trapped air or moisture it should prevent rust
