RE: Sony Xplod Sub?
They are a pretty basic subwoofer.
Can't go wrong with SONY.
Don't expect to get some crazy loud + CLEAN sounds from them.
My advice, GREAT budget subs, keep em turned lower to just get the bump but none of the buzz.
I'd definitely buy them for $90.
Are they in a box? Any amp?

Sony car audio sucks most of the time
the only thing acceptable to me is their black subs
If a company EVER advertises it's PEAK power, it's not good merchandise, and by you buying it, you fell for their exact plan

before i switched to 1-10" Dayton sub and my JBL amp, i used to have 2-12" sony xplods, with that same sony amp your looking at. I sold the subs, in a box, and the amp for $400. so i would say it is a good deal!

IMO, just make sure you watch your numbers. If those subs are single voice coil 8ohm, they won't pull but like 200 watts out of that 1000 watt amp.
Make sure you can connect them to an amp and still get at least a 4ohm or less resistance raiting between the two, if you can't, might as well put them on ebay. They won't be loud enough for anyone.
I am all up for the deal though. If your on a budget, sony's would be a great starter system.
My first stereo was a set of Pioneer subs and a 400 watt Sony amp. That amp pounded until it overheated :-( But It was perfect when i had basicly no money to spend on anything. Made it almost half way through high school until I bought these 10" JL's I am still using today.
