are you looking for good good stuff or just somthing thats better then stock?..sonys i dont really push because there are alot of bad things iv heard about them, mostly about there subs, but if you just want a nice upgrade then the sonys will be nice, and yep they just pop in and screw them down and you will have to wire them up with your stock wires from the stock speakers which is very easy to do..positive wire to positive terminal, negitive wire to negitive terminal

How much are the Sonys? I know if you go on ebay you can get 6.5" Alpine Type S speakers for under 100 shipped I believe. They are MUCH better than the sonys plus it sounds way better saying you have Alpine speakers instead of sony speakers. I would personally get the Alpines instead, but that is mainly due to the fact that I don't want anything you can buy at wally world in my car.[&:]

P.S. The 220watt that sony says is peak power, not rms. They MIGHT be able to handle 220 watts for half a second, but not for any more time than that. If you try to push that for a continuous time you can say goodbye to those speakers lol. That is also the way it is with any speaker/sub, so always look for the rms rating, not peak.

SOny car audio product is junk. Yes, it will sound better then your stock stuff, but if you care about your sound, your gonna end up replacing those in the long run. Do as fastman09 said, check out ebay, you'll find a lot better stuff then that. I can get polk, and kicker speakers at next to nothing. Let me know, and I think I can hook you up with some speakers that will sound 1,000,000 better.

Yep, i'm pretty sure. Check www.crutchfield.com. You can type in your car info and it will come up with what will fit your car. Thats what I would do.
