Sony Xplod

RE: Sony Xplod
I bought an Xplod head unit to replace the stock unit in my wife's Camry. I mean hey, it's a Sony, right. Gotta be better than the stock unit. Boy, was I wrong. It sounded terrible. No bottom end. I played with every setting and couldn't get it to sound good. The stock unit sounded a lot better. I replaced it with a Pioneer and couldn't be happier.

RE: Sony Xplod
^ I dunno what those guys are talking about. The sound quality of mine (when it's working right, read below) is superb.
Agreed. I've had mine for almost 5 years now. It does work like crap after years of use, abuse and two car accidents (old car.) Mostly just sounds like hell but a quick eject fixes the problem. All the buttons and power face and eject gears all work great and everything. When it's working good it sounds great though. The reason I'm not just going to get this fixed is, after 5 years it's getting out of date. I want something with an aux. port or iPod adapter and mp3 capability. I'm thinking about a Pioneer AVIC-D1.

I have a Sony Xplod head unit and 10 disc changer. No complaints.
