Default Siriius satellite compatable with 06 civic?

Hello
I have a Civic EX and as it comes, it's ready for XM satellite radio. However, I'd really like Sirius. Is there an issue with trying to use Sirius with the new civics?

I have the 06 Si, and I have a Sirius aftermarket unit. I put it in the little compartment in front of the gearshift and use the Aux plug. Works great. I'm not sure if it would be possible to integrate it with the Nav system though. But since I don't hav the Nav, no biggie.

Hwn it saids Xm ready, that ,means the dealer an integrate an XM interface directly into your stereo. If you want sirius, you can by an sirius aftermarket piece(such as the S50, or sportster) and use it over an fm frequency. Doesnt sound as good, but hey if you want sirius, its just a suggestion.

I've got Sirius radio and I play it through the FM radio. It sounds just fine. If you compared it back to back against the factory XM installation, it's probably not as good but without that direct comparison, I don't think you'd ever notice.

The main advantage it's got, and the reason I probably wouldn't go with the factory install, even if I was using XM, is that I can remove the Serius head unit and use it in another car or in the house. You can't do that with the factory installed versions.

Good luck,
Steve R.
