New setup haha still in the works.....I built the box, and it has a crazy amount of port noise and makes the subs sound horrible

Excursion anyone? Dang, are those surrounds sewn to a carbon fiber cone, or do they just look like that?

2000 Honda Civic Si (not mine but I do all the install work on this vehicle)

Source - Alpine IVA-W505 DD unit

Highs:
Kicker KX 6 1/2 Components (front)
Kicker KX 6x9 3way (rear)
Kicker ZX350.4 4ch amp for highs

Bass:
2 Digital Designs 9512 12 inch subwoofers with dual 1.4ohm coals wired together down to 1.0ohm
Earthquake D3 mono block (3000 watts RMS)
150amp circuit breaker
0 gauge power wire
Kinetik HC2400 2600amp battery in trunk

System is capable of over 145db as of right now. We will be adding a second D3 mono block in the future so each sub has its own mono block and our goal will be to break 150db!!!!

Right now I am running the following in my 1997 Civic EX Coupe:

Alpine CDA-9885 with Ipod cable
Linear Power 1502IQ passive for my mids and highs crossed at 80 Hz via my head unit
CDT TW-25 tweeter in the stock tweeter pods
Alpine Type R 6.5 woofer in the stock 6.5 door location
CDT SATNET passive crossover for the door speakers
Rockford Fosgate 25 to Life Punch 150 for my subwoofer
Digital Designs dd1010 in 1 cubic foot ported tuned to 35 Hz
Kinetik HC1400 battery under the hood
e2 wiring

All of the aforementioned equipment was less than $1,000

Next on the docket is to await the arrival of my P28 ECU that had ELD detection removed from it and to install my Alterstart 170 amp HO alternator.

Later on, I am thinking of running a pair of these dd1508s:

Until then, I will keep rocking my "budget" system:

hey gunz awesome subs!

I just removed 3 1508's from the civic I posted above your post and they were pushed with about 2000 watts RMS and pounded crazy loud!!! Only reason we reomved them is I dont think we could achieve our goal of 150db with the 1508's so we replaced them with the two 9512's.

There is a dude in North Louisiana with a CRX who did 151.4 with four 1508s. If you ever go to http://forum.soundpressure.com/ his screen name is Louisiana_CRX
