Memphis Audio door speakers, Panasonic touch-screen head unit, 2 12' Kicker Competition subwoofers, vented box, 1200 watt Sony amp. Saving for Memphis Audio speakers for the one's behind the rear seat; they're my only stock speakers. And yes, I did everything myself. I'll snap pics later on today.

For the cable, I have AUX input on the front so I used a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord that has one of those adjusters on it so that it only stays the length you want it. Any 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord will work fine.

If you don't have an AUX jack on the front, you're gonna have to find somewhere to feed your cable through to get it to the front of the dash.

Here's the mount thing. It's a vent mount, but it also comes with a different plate you can use to just straight up bolt to the dash... that's what I did. You just need a semi-flat surface. There's 4 screw spots on the mount, but if you can't use all of them, you really only need at least 2, as long as you have one on each side (left and right). Try to use as many screws as possible though.

so you need to drill some holes on the dash? i guess i can't really use this method since i don't have any flat surface on the dash.

it only has to be semi-flat (can be slightly rounded)
i just used self tapping screws, no drill.

Use a Panavise mount to mount it we use them at my shop to mount Sirius and XM units to I'm not sure what year your car is by the pic but here is one for a 99-00 civic they look clean and are out of the way of important things like shifting or the glove box they have their own Ipod mount too here is the mount http://www.panaviseonline.com/product.php?id=1120 and here is the Ipod holder http://www.panaviseonline.com/article.php?id=20

I guess my 'audio' system is a bit different than most. The business end of my mess is provided by a Yaesu FT-857d, but by far, what draws the most turned heads is the Carolina Tarheel screwdriver (for 80m through 6m) and the 2m/440 Diamond antennas.
