Default Removing stock receiver from scratch?

You all probably get this question asked all the time. I have a 2003 Honda Civic EX and I bought a Pioneer DEH-P7500MP a while ago, but never have had the chance to install it. My brother attempted last winter and ended up cracking the plastic near the cup holder and tried to super glue it. But now I'm gonna do this with someone who has a little more experience. What parts do I need to buy and what are the exact steps in this installation?

All you need is a wiring harnes from metra and about 16 crimp butt connectors.
