Default Remote Cassette Player

Does anyone use a Honda remote cassette player with a stock Honda stereo? I've been looking at one so I can use my MP3 player with a cassette adapter instead of the radio transmitter for better sound. I was curious if anyone's had any experience with them so I could find out if they just plug into the back of the stereo, etc. Thanks in advance!

Default RE: Remote Cassette Player

Go aftermarket man, you can get a deck for 100 bucks that will at least have 80% better sound, more options, and expandability.

You can even pick up one with a front mounted Aux input for direct digital input from your ipod or Mp3 player. They are available from 100 up, its your best bet.

Here are a few options around $100.00 that are ready to go with a wiring harness.

JVC decks offer a front mounted Aux input, and or the USB direct input for thumb drives, which are all the rage in the comptuer world now. I am going to buy a full din JVC for our CR-V in a year or so. They are great products with good support and warranty.

JVC KD-G230 Front aux input, looks good, reliable, remote, Plays WMA-MP3, simple, not breaking the bank.

JVC KD-G420 Front aux input, different look, good enhancements, WMA-MP3, affordable.

Kenwood KDC-MP205 Front aux input, very simple, very affordable, still flexible for upgrades.

Kenwood KDC-MP203 Front aux input, more options, still under 100.00, HD tuner ready!

Other vendors make units with a plug in wire adapter that comes out and can be mounted somewhere to plug in the MP3 players, but these are simple, and very affordable, any of the above would give you a huge upgrade in sound quality and options.
