It turned out I did not need to get behind the dash. I took the faceplate off and using a small screwdriver un did two tabs and the HU pulled right out. I will have to venture behing the dash though. Right now the XM reciever and Alpine adapter is in the glove box with no lock. Somebody could easily walk away with some nice stuff.

When I got the car the remote buttons did unlock and lock the car and the lights did flash. Then oneday I was messing around and all of a sudden the car would beep when lockrd and unlocked. Then I noticed I was accidently seeting the alarm off a lot. This has lead me to believe the alarm was not on. Now for no reason at all there is no more beep and sure enough I can use my key, get thing out of the trunk and no alarm goes off?
