RE: RCA cables melting!!
I'm not sure if this is an issue here but since you don't own a wire stripper (and when you don't have dental insurance, buy a wire stripper!)-- You must use a terminal crimping tool to put ring terminals onto wires. Mashing them with pliers is never acceptable, you get a bad connection.
The subwoofer amp should be set for LPF (Low Pass Filter = passes no high frequencies --> only bass). The main speakers should be set for HPF (High Pass Filter = No low frequency --> no bass). Some equipment has a "subsonic" filter option to help with the "breathing" effect, but it's probably still a poor ground or bad RCA cable doing that to you.

Its all working awsome now, everthing is good. The ground is good. and it was the hpf that was working, thats what i had it on. now everything is working, i have it on lpf. And my head unit has this options, i think its say's 5w L, and if i turn it up my subs come alive!!!!! I think the problem was that my wires where touching, (That is why it was breathing)i had like the ground, rca, and power cable on top of eachother. i ran the power cable on the opposite side of the car, and the rca and h unit turn on, on the other side. when everything meeted in the trunk it was a mess, so i spreaded them apart.
none of the wiers are hot to the touch.
Now i just need to find a way to keep my license plate from making noise. You cant here it inside the car, but out side omg!!. any tips?

ya double sided tape, or foam tape that is kinda thick/stiff.
you can also use a hot glue gun. yes im serious! i use it on my 99 with the foam strips behind the liscence plate.. just clean behind the liscence plate and the back of the plate. then put the foam strips on the back of the liscence plate runing along the top and bottom 2 strips at least... then put some hot glue behind the liscence plate, and around the bolt or loose bottom just slide and quickly put the plate onto the car and tighten down the liscence plate and hold the plate to the car for afew mins allowing the hot glue to cool and stick and get hard.
works great IMO..... dont worry about the hot glue because you can still pick it right off the car with no left over residue if it pops loose
i was pumpen my old 12 with 1600watts, and currently 2 12s with only 600watts for now. still very little rattling.
