Default Quick help speaker size?

Hey,

Any one know what size speakers are in the rear of my 98 Civic EX 4 door? I don't want to take them off because I never have but I think there 6.5 inches.

Thanks
Jeff

Most likely either 6.5 or 6x9's. you should be able to open your trunk look up and tell. If they are circular 6.5 if not 6x9.

Oh yea, you need some shallow 6.5's. THe depth is only like 2" and some change. You can cut the plastict to get a bigger depth in.

Yeah, you can actually get HUGE speakers in the doors with a little work. I have Infinity perfect 6's in there, had to cut out ALL the plastic and some metal... they just clear the window.

Edit: I just went and checked and ya there 6 X 9's in the back. Last night I thought they where round. Damn! Will these fit in the front?: http://cgi.ebay.ca/INFINITY-6002I-6-...QQcmdZViewItem cause I already bought them so I hope they do lol. Mounting depth is only 2- 1/4"

Thanks
Jeff

Yes they will fit. I am running them in my front at the moment, well recently I just blew the passenger side one. If it isn't shallow mount, it will take some washers to make it fit without the window hitting it. I drilled 3 holes for screws and left the bottom without a screw. Only reason it blew it was running a bit over the recommended wattage ceiling. But good speakers.
