I'm planning on putting a DVD player in my 06 Civic, but I have a couple questions I need answered before I go ahead and look for one.

1. The EX models come with steering wheel mounted audio controls, If I put the dvd player in the car while I still be able to use the wheel audio controls?
2. They also come with the built in AUX jack below the cig lighter port, will I also be able to use the aux jack when I put in the player. This part is really important since this is wehre I plug my ipod to my car.

1. I believe you can get programmable units that will work, provided the dvd player you get can use a remote.

2. You'll probably have to rewire it, but provided the DVD player has aux in ports, you can wire it up, yes.

 

yes your steering control and your AUX port will work just fine your DVD player should have RCA's in the back if its a car audio DVD it will have a Y adapter that basically goes from RCS to UHF ( UHF is the jack that looks like a headphone jack ) if youR unit does not have one the local radio shack should have one just ask for a RCA to UHF converter
