Default Push button start

Sounds cool. My friend just did it on his car, took him 5 minutes and 5 dollars. Bought a button and a covered switch for a cutoff. I thought it was really cool at first, a cheap mod but then I realized...you have to put the key in and turn it, then reach to your button and press it. If my key is already in the ignition I am just going to turn it. It takes less effort and the 'cool factor' for a push button start last about 6 seconds.

I tend to agree. Push button start is only cool when your car has the proper electronics for the car can tell when you have the key with you like a lot of new cars have. The newest Nissan Altima is an example I can think of off the top of my head. It can tell because of the RFID chip inside the key that it is inside of the vehicle and the push button start "just works".

Well, you get a push button, and have it wired to the alarm. If the thief isn't smart, he will push it (even with the key in) setting the alarm off. lol

if anyone wants to do something like this just get the auto start remote kits. same thing and you dont have to have the key in the ignition for it to start. u have to have it in the ignition to get going but thats something your going to have to deal with. honestly no one should even bother with stuff like this unless they live in a really cold state or really hot state.
