Default PS2 Mounting...

I'm in need of a good spot to mount my ps2 in the front. It fits in the glovebox perfectly but ps2 doesn't work on an angle, the discs don't read and I have to keep the glovebox open. I was thinking behind the glovebox but that means i'd have to make some bracketing system and cut the back off my glovebox and just leave the door of it. I think it'd work out well but I'm not too into hacking the back off my glovebox before finding out what everyone else has done... I've seen them in the trunk before but then you can't change the disc on the fly which sucks...

Any suggestions..?

When I worked at the audio shop, we just always mounted them under the seat.

Yeah, it's the old skool full size ps2... I would put it under the seat but I find it's tough to change the discs as your crusing. Ideally, I'd like to gut it and mount just the cd tray on the dash under the deck or something like that. I might just try the glovebox hack although I'm still stiff on cutting it... but I think the turnout would work good. I could even get some controller extensions and run them to flush mounts on the dash or something. If I can't get my hand on a second glovebox, any idea how much it would be to order something like that direct from Honda.??

ya i always go the the junk yeard to look for parts but they only got 1 newer civic but everythings gone from it...what about mounting it were the center console ends in the back, you can put it facing up and just make some brackets to keep it in place, you just have to reach back to put the disk in..i saw this done in a rsx and it looks really nice..you can put it against the seat or the center console

Not a bad idea at all... I'll check out how that'd work out. Thanks man.

Found a pretty good page for an easy and clean lookin ps2 mount finally just under the glovebox. I'll probably still work on puttin mine in the glovebox but I like the bezel idea. Thinking of adding a boxed in section underneath the ps2 in the glovebox for a few dvds or something as well.
