Default Pass some wisdom ehh...

Hey guys. I 'm a newbie Honda owner. I bought an '01 Civic to replace a Maxima I wrecked three years ago. I'm looking to replace the stock audio but I don't want to spend more than $500. Please help with a full setup (amp, 1 sub, 2 tweeters etc.) Thanks!!!

the mark up on car audio products at retailers such as best buy and circuit city is the highest compared to other departments in the store especially when it comes to the accesories like speaker wire, wire harnesses, and dash kits. even though its a risk buying stuff on ebay, the costs for the product are usually near what big retailers pay for the products before they mark them up.

well 500bucks TOTAL..... not gonna be quality. maybe decent to poor.
you can spend a easy 200bucks on a nice radio alone, ruffly 60bucks on amplifier wiring kit.a decent subwoofer 100-200bucks, a box for the subwoofer 50-100bucks, speakers for interior 100-200 for a decent 2pairs.

if you want a nice setup then i would build the stereo up. first start out with a nice radio, then upgrade the interior speakers, then save up more money for amplifier and subwoofer.

do yourself a favor and dont cheap out if your just going to not like the setup and swap it out later on. if ya do that your just throwing cash away.
