Default Optima/PS2/Hids.

Okay, so im going to put a PS2 in my glovebox, and I plan on getting some HIDS.......my battery is on its last legs as is, so I figure getting an optima will do me some good. This is the one im looking at getting. ive check the specs and its slightly bigger than the 51R that fits the civic. Do you guys think it will fit? Im going to take some measurements tomorrow.

Optima batteries are over rated.....Plus the yellow top is a deep cycle, not for underhood use. The yellow top would be the one you would isolate, and use as a second in the truck for your tunes. Look for a kinetic, or the new audio force. (made by the folks that make the kinetic) And No it wont fit in the factory location

The yellow top is what i want, because I can drain it all the way down and it will recharge fast. I work in a restaurant and plan on playing playstation 2 on break for a 40 mins or so.

go for the yellow top..i have the bigger one, the one that would fit into the bigger tray..it didnt fit into my civic (00) so i had to cut the plastic a bit at the bottom and take out the thing that holds it down, but it fits REALLY snug so i dont have to worry about it moving around, but the bigger one has more power (or whatever) then the smaller one anyways so im happy about that, iv draned it right out once and still works perfect..love the battery

Look were the yellow top is VERSUS the red top......the yellow top is NOT a "cranking" battery. Isolate it and drain it slow....it will serve you well. Put it under the hood to start the car......a year maybe two.
