Default More Bass....with less bulk than my dual 12's?

I have a dual 12 ported box in my car.

They have ported and non ported I know....

I am not expert with this sound stuff so I wanted to ask.

I will get a new car one day(I hope soon) and the car I have in mind has a smaller trunk than my civic(by a little bit) but the real problem is the dimensions of the trunk of the new car is not big enough to get my box in it.

I still want AT LEAST one good sub, 2 sounds best right?

I currently have MTX 4500's with 120+ watts or so RMS to each one(not much right? haha) and if I got this car how can I get even more bass with less bulk?

Can I get a couple of 10's with more watts and that work fine? What is best for a small trunk? The box won't fit in the hole of the new car.

I second Supersize's comment, i have a single ten in a sealed box that hits harder then alot of twelves do, Take a look at Pioneers Champion series woofers, GREAT sound for a low price, and they beat the hell out of any Alpines i have ever heard.

10's have less cone space which is suppost to produce better booms, but it all depends on what your running too. if you got something like american bass, its going to pwn the shxt out off sony xplodes.. so if your going for one sub, get a good brand with high rms, get a large amp, and make the best of it.. but ill tell you something, i got 2 sony xplode 12's with a 600w jvc amp and it pounds... not competition worthy, but it hits hard, far more than i expected for walmart shxt.

Does 2 subs make better sound, or should I aim for just one big one?

ok the newbs to car audio need to shut up now.

how loud subs are, depends 90% on the install. 75% of the install being the box that they are in. can a single 10 be louder than your 2 12's sure but in the correct environment for a pair of 12's and a pair of 10's the same brand and same car the 12's will be louder because of the simple fact that they have more cone area which means more air movement.

Okay well here is the thing, I hope to get a 2010 camaro one day.

As you can see it has about as much space in it as a Accord coupe. The hole is just so tiny...and the height of the trunk is not tall enough for my box to fit in anyways.

So sound output is NOT all about more watts to the speakers?

What would you get as far as subs for that car? Ported...non ported...how many watts? My current ones are the MTX 4500's as I said(12 inch) so maybe 2 10's with more watts in a non ported box?

ported is louder hands down as long as you build it correct. and you said that you plan on getting a 2010 Camaro one day, one day means how far down the road? the size of subs just depends on how much space is in the trunk I need numbers not pics

I am not 100% sure, when I get some more money. Maybe later this year I can afford it. I lost my job so not at the moment haha.

Specs are:

11.3 cu.ft.

This was from someone on some camaro forums:

"The measurements of the opening I got were 34'' wide by 15.5'' deep (pretty tight opening). The inside of the trunk is fairly large though, IMO: 57'' diagonal, 54'' at widest point, 47'' wide between the wheel wells. 'Hope that helps."
