Default Keyless Transmitter

Hey I'm trying to get my keyless transmitter to work but it doesn't seem to work at all. It used to work but it takes several clicks so I figured I might need to change the batteries. Changed the batteries and BAM! It doesn't work anymore. The red light turns on on the remote when I click it though.
The car is a 97 Honda Civic EX 2DR.
It does have an aftermarket radio but when I bought it, the remote was, like I said, working even with the after market radio.

The stock radio must be tucked behind the aftermarket one.

Do the locks work with the key and door switch?

Test fuses 14, 28, and 47.

Check whether the green connector plugged into the rear of the tucked stocked radio is loose or disconnected.

Then do this:

Hey I have a question. How's it possible to have the stock radio in with an aftermarket one? How do I access it? Thanks!

Remove the aftermarket radio and you should see the stock one tucked behind it.

don't you have to re-program the keyless entry if you replace the batteries? and yes, if you have keyless working with an aftermarket unit, you will have the stock one "hidden" somewhere in the dash where you can pull it out, and re-program it.

Hello RonJ! I just saw the stock radio and did the steps on your post. Everything worked until the part where I press the key on the transmitter. The red light on IT turns on but no sound. I will check the fuses tomorrow.

(I don't believe that this is a double post)

-I checked the fuses and they are fine. However I cannot see the green connector on the radio. It is too hidden I suppose.
