Default Kenwood 6.5 buzzes... diagnosis? 96-98 Stereo Install ? too!

Well about a month ago I bought new speakers all around, Alpine 6x9s and Kenwood 6.5s. They have sounded really good, actually been running the stock stereo through em, just got my split harness today. So I like to play music loud, I listen to everything from rap to hardcore screamo (mostly screamo ). My passenger door speaker started to kinda buzz a few days ago. When the music is low you can hear it better, but as you get louder it isn't that noticeable. It isn't that bad, it isn't like it is super noticeable when it's loud. But I took out the speaker today, looked it over. There's no tears in the rubberish ring thing and everything looked okay, but it still does the annoying noise. Anyone have a diagnosis? It isn't like the panel vibrating and the driver side speaker is fine. I spent like $70 on them and didn't get the $15 insurance if I blow them so I hope it isn't anything bad. Thanks for any input on this.

Also, anyone with a 96-98 who kept their keyless entry, how did you hide the stock stereo? I just got my split harness today to wire up my Sony Explod. Did you take the stock stereos face plate off, cause I went to but there is like a plastic data transmitter thing there so I left it. I tried 1 million and 1 different angles and the damn cigarrette lighter thing gets in the way. I have looked at installdr's guide but they way they do it the harness won't reach. Any pictures or help is appreciated.

Thanks, and sorry for the uber long post lol, congrats if you made it this far!

Just put you stock stereo where the cupholders/cassette player is. That's what a couple people on here did.

it might that you damaged the voice coil or something by sending it clipped power from the HU.

The buzz isn't that loud and is tolerable, it is just that I hear it all the time now lol and I don't wanna spend a lot again replacing these... like I said it's only been a month lol.

What am I checking for, good connections? Cause I capped the power wires, on every other thing I've done audio wise I soldered but I used caps for my speakers

Try pushing the main speaker cone down gently and evenly with your fingers. It should move silently. If it scrapes during part of its travel, the voice coil is burned and the speaker needs to be replaced.

You could also swap the speakers left to right to see if it is the speaker itself or something in the door, but that's a lot of work.

I had a friend awhile back who installed 6x9 speakers in his '92 Integra and after a few days he was faced with a similar problem. He thought the speakers were blown, but when he talked to the shop that installed them they told him the speakers were peaking and suggested that he buy a capacitor. He did and never had an issue with them again.
