Default Jammed disk in CD player

Any suggestion for getting a CD disk to eject? The CD plays but will not eject. When I hit the eject button the CD disengages but will not pop out. I have a 2004 EX with factory equipment.

It could be the mechanism is off track. find out if the cd is jamming above or below the exit hole. Then use a paper clip to guide it.

Yea, thanks for the welcome. Great site. Lots of valuable information here. Seems the disk is jamming from below the opening. I will try the paper clip trick as suggested.

Got it!
I used a flat tweezers, then tugged, pulled and jiggled the jammed disk. No success at first, but then the CD ejected and no more problems. Really don't know what I did, kinda curious what caused this to happen. Is there some type of lever? I had called the Honda dealer ship and they told me that the CD player is a warrantee item under the 3 years or 36,000 miles. I have 37,000 miles. The dealership was cool about the situation and they would honor the service and replace the player if I wanted. I know that I am not to say the name of the excellent dealership in Glendale Wisconsin, so I won't. Well, needless to say I didn't go to the dealership because the player started working before going for the repair.

Cave man style fixing Yea, but this Neanderthal was using modern tools. Well, what do you think, is this a one time thing and can expect no more problems in the future?

If cds pop out normally now it should be fine. Who knows what caused it. Generally however, improper cd insertion does that.
