Default RE: Installing a 4 channel amp Do I need two kits?

I will give it a try on Wednesday when I get the wiring kit.
One more question. I have two 4500mtx subs as I said. The guy I bought them from said he took the box apart and saw that they had small wire going to the subs. He suggested I change the wire or have it changed. Will it burn up if I dont? My amp puts out like 60 or 70rms. Do I have to worry? If I have to change it that means I have to go out and by a sodder gun and some 8 gauge wire. More money....

Yeah I was able to do the passenger side but on the drivers side there were too many pins on the connecor and I didn't want to risk screwing all that up.

What type of plus do my amps take? Will the amp kit come with it so I can hook it up? How does it work? Or what are the plugs called so I can buy them?
Thanks

Usually the amp uses spade connectors for power and speaker connections. Sometimes it uses this hole that you stick the wire in and then a screw that clamps down on it (for the power stuff at least). But usually it'll have these screws with plates on them and you slide the spade under it and screw it down. The amp kit should come with all the connectors you need for this. If you need more you can get some at radioshack, walmart, or autozone.

If your not familiar with spade connects or any other type, your cimp them on. You basically strip some of the wire, insert into the connector end and then use crimper pliers to crimp (basically clamp) the metal onto the wire.

Yes I am familiar with wiring. Us owning a farm has let me play with soo soo much stuff ha ha.
Mine uses a end that you put the wire in it. Its like two cylinder ports that you push down on the sides and it goes down. I guess you put the wire in it and it clamps around it. We have a crimping tool.

Yeah my sub has ones like that, the spring loaded ones that clap on the wire.

You might wanna check out this website: http://caraudiobook.com

It has lots of stuff on stereo.

The clamp on ones do they need the head pictured above or just bare wire? Or it just wont stay in good with bare wire?

Just bare wire. Just strip the wire, twist it good, push that button down, stick the wire in and let go and it should clamp down good.

Spades and connectors are only used if your amp has those type of connections but in your case it sounds like it doesn't
