jbl and infinity are the same company. Infinity is more of the Acura of Honda.

Actually MD. They are. Infinity is the nicer brand of the line. While JBL is the more competition slammer part of the line. They are both owned by Harmon International including Harmon Kardon itself. I think there is another one what is extremely high end brand but it isnt shown. I could be thinking of Eclipse's high end Monitor Audio... they sell $9k headunits.

Actually, I was wrong. They own more than 3.

Harman International is a company of listeners. With audio products that carry the Harman Kardon, JBL, Infinity, Revel, Audioaccess, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, Madrigal Imaging and Proceed names,

Ah... it was Revel that I was thinking about. They are up there with Seas and Scan-Speak.

I spent 220 on my Kappa perfect VQ and that single 12 inch sub does wonders.

But JBL and Infinity may be owned by the same parent company but are ran by 2 different firms. The build houses for thier products are not the same and that is what matters. There is only 1 company that I know of in the world that houses it's own build house and it shows. That company is JL Audio. This is why you see all these knock off brands on ebay that look exactly like the mainstream products. Like Hart subs(Kicker knock offs).
