Its a deep speaker, about 2-3/16" mounting depth, if i cut the plastic backing from the oem speaker out, will this fit? or am i going to have to trim the door panel and possibly inner door skin as well? if thats the case i'll go with the 2way 5-1/4" as i don't want to modify the interior visible panels at all. Just curious if anyones put this deep of a 6.5 in there door and what is involved, seems if i could find a 3way shallow mount i liked it would work with just removing the plastic behind the stock speaker, but i can't and i really like these kappa 3way 6.5s

hey man i wasa installer at Best Buy for a while and if i remember your car correctly it will fit as long as you trim off the plastic from the door panel that is behind the stock speaker. and those are some pretty bad *** speakers if I say so myself. to get the best sound out of them, make sure you get a 4-ch amp cuz they are 2 ohm speakers and they won't run their best off of an aftermarkethead unitand for most cars they won't run at all off of a stock head unit.
