dito.... has nothing to do with the stereo... just static electricity..... either instal one of those grounding straps or just get out of your car a different way.....
grab the door and THEN step out and hit the ground with your foot....
in my old truck i almost ALWAYS got shocked from geting out of my it until i relearned how to get out of the truck differently, then i never had a problem again.....

if raw wire is exposed anywhere touching your chasis, thats prob why ur getting shocked. especialy if u went thru your firewall and then pulled your power wire tight. when u pulled the wire thru firewalls sometimes it will slides open the shielding and u get shocked.

Yeah def static electricity, happens to me too. Even if there was a bear wire exposed why would he get shocked just by touching the surface of his car? Electricity takes the path of least resistance and the metal of the car to the negative side of the battery is a lot more conductive that the path from your hand to nowhere.

ya the bear wire HIGHLY UNLIKELY!!!!
most power wires have a very thick jacket and if it shorted out all the time he would constantly feel a tingling not just a short shock. LOL plus the fuse should blow....

your body constantly has an electrical charge running thru it. if a wire has small enough charge and u touch that piece of metal it will create a large enough charge to notice... ie. a shock

its a metal rod internally that is surrounded by a rubber coating... so the coating will keep it from making any noises plus while driving it will be held up by the wind some.... no need to trim to exact fit because it will wear just fine...
BOO- your wire theory
