how to wire speakers to a head unit
So my headunit has a built in amplifier with high tone crossover, and you have to plug in the speakers to the headunit using rca plugs, but the speakers are only plugged into the harness with one wire, meaning the other one is grounded somewhere?
so i have some rca plugs laying around from an old speaker system that have two wires, how do i go about hooking those up to the speakers to plug into the back of the head unit?

can you take some pics? I am pretty sure if its an RCA looking hook up, you can use an RCA wire to connect them, just tear the wire in half and use 1 lead, red or white, either or, for each speaker hookup. I would really have to see it to make much of a diagnosis.

yeah, there's a female rca plugin the back ofthe head unit for the front left and right, and rear left and right, and i have two male rca's readyand can get some more from old speakers...
but the rca males have two wires coming out of them whereas the speakers are currently only going into the stereo harness through one wire
that's a pretty straightforward explanation and i dont think a picture would do much

It's a new panasonic head unit, like it has a built in amp with a high frequency cross over, and it has a subwooferplug in and stuff
so the female rca's comingout of the headunit must be just ran through little crossover's inside the unit, butthere's 4 female rca's thatarefor the front and rear speakers and then 1 or two for the sub, i forget but that's not important right now.
but so to plug in the males, from the speakers, do i just connect one wire to the rca, even though the male rca i have to plug in has two wires coming out of it
