Default help installing rear 6x9 in 98' hx

i have alpine type s 6x9 and installed them in my 98 civic hx coupe and was wondering if there is any better way to put them in other than taking off the stock speaker covers, how can i get the rear deck off easily? thanks

You won't get the rear deck off easily. you get to remove the bottom half of the rear seat and the side plastic panels before you can slide the deck out of there.

I highly recommend you mount your 6x9s from underneath the deck to make it easier to swap them out at a later point in time.

You too? All I have is ONE 8" sub and it pounds enough to make my rear deck plastic smack the back window. I am thinking of bolting it in there and using some heavy duty Velcro.

ya the way im going to do mine is clean the plastic and then with some liquid epoxy im going to glue in some nuts, then when i slide the deck inplace i can bolt it TIGHT from the bottom. no more weak @ss clips holding it in!
