Default Help with deck problem

Hey guys,
My deck is a cheaper alpine, my rear 6x9's are alpines, my 6.5's are infinity, and i have 2 viper 12's and a viper amp. One day im just driving to work and my music completley cut off, the bass kept pumping but no music was coming out of my speakers. I got back and checked the wires to see if any were loose and they were all fine, so I figured it was just the cheap deck since its a little old now. So i bought a JVC KD-SH9700 off of ebay (very nice), wired it up, and installed it in my car....same thing, now i cant even get power to my deck. Does anyone know whats wrong? Dont forget my car has 193,000 and its a '99 so it could just be the factory wiring? Thanks

OK, check the fuses for the deck, are they ok? Got a multimeter? Disconnect the deck and find the Hot power leads connect positive probe to power lead and ground the other probe, see any voltage? Does your Deck have a fuse in the back of it?

Check all fuses.. how do you have it set up? your mids/highs running directly off the deck? or off of another amp? if you have an amp for your mids/highs, check the amp fuse(s) check all grounds 2-3 times!!! Make sure if you are grounding the amps to the car, that your ground spot is free of paint, and you are using a good conductive screw/bolt to ground with. Good luck!
