RE: help with amp wiring
uhh...you should have the power going from your amp, to an inline fuse, then to the battery, and have a good ground coming from your amp as well. from what i know, the amp should turn off when your car turns off. that doesnt make any sense.

RE: help with amp wiring
You need to run a single thin wire from the remote terminal on the amp to the "amplifier turn on" lead on the back of your head unit. Some RCA cable assemblies have the wire molded in between the audio cables. Usually it is a blue wire from the head unit but check your manual or the sticker on the unit to be sure.

If you have an aftermarket cd player it will be a blue wire comming out of the back of the unit. Normally it's blue, I can't say always because i'm sure there are some manufactures that just want to be different. as long as that's hooked up you should be good to go. check to see if you have power at the amp (remote terminal) when you turn the ignition off. If you do then trace the wire back to the head unit and see if there is a problem there.

YOu simply have power going through it of course
do as they say and trace it back to see where it's coming from
if there are no cuts in the blue wire, you may have an amp or HU problem
