Headlight Warning Buzzer
My 2003 Civic LX doesn't seem to have one. I've seen a few posts on the web about wiring a three dollar buzzer from the headlight fuse to either the rear defroster fuse or the windshield wiper fuse. Supposedly when the car is turned off, a current short circuits across the buzzer and makes a noise.
For this to work, the two fuses should, or at least ought, to have the same voltage across them. My Honda manual has warned me against making modifications to the electrical system. I guess it can potentially interfere with airbag deployment, etc. Might also cause the fuse to not work properly.
So anyway, I've got a voltage on my headlights when they are on. I've got another electrical line that has the same voltage as the headlights when the car is on. When the car is off, the voltage on the line should be different..perhaps it should be ground.
Can't my Honda dealer install one of these for me?
