Headlight harness worth it or no?

Headlight harness worth it or no?
Hey all, new here...searched a bunch and didn't see much about people running upgraded headlight harnesses on their civics.
I am from the Jeep world where if you want to run anything over 60 watts, you upgrade the housing to something with replaceable H4 bulbs similar to a civic and run a beefier headlight harness so it does not burn up from the increased electrical load.
I happen to have an extra H4 harness with 2 nice relays on there, fused, big wires etc. It would be plug and play on a civic from what I see. I also have a nice brand new set of 90/100 H4 bulbs (just high power, no superwhite of any of that stuff). Any of you guys run wiring harnesses for these bulbs or can the stock headlight wiring handle like a 90/100w bulb? This is my first Japanese car, I have only had Jeeps. For the 10 years I have been building them big and this EX is the new daily driver. I could always put the harness on my cherokee if it's not needed on the civic. 98 civic EX 2 dr if that helps. Thanks for any answers.

RE: Headlight harness worth it or no?
i wouldnt put a bulb over the stock wattage in there. mine burnt and blew 3 fuses when i did. i put the stock ones back in there. if you want a higher W bulb, yes, upgrading the harnesses is a VERY good idea.

Thanks for the response, I kind of figured that even though I never see anyone posting here about upgrading the harness....
If I put 90/100 watt bulbs in the stock hedlight housings am I going to melt them?

im not sure what the stock one is. i know my friend gave me something of a higher wattage and i didnt check...blew fuses AND melted the connector. if the stock is 55, i wouldnt go 90 or 100 without upgrading.

I am definitely going to upgrade the harness now...but I am just worried about the clear plastic housings themselves...If I upgrade the bulbs and the wiring, can the housings take the heat?

It may be the wrong section for the question....but it certainly does not belong in the appearance section as it is NOT an appearance mod at all. This is not about running ricer-blue halos or some garbage like that.
After all, if I cared about appearance I would not be driving a Honda
I just saw "electronics" and posted here thinking someone here might know about the honda electrical system, and that question has been answered already. Now I am just curious whether the stock plastic housings can handle the heat....
