Default Good speakers for no amp but good head?

Hello all,
I've got http://www.epinions.com/Pioneer_DEH_...P3_CD_Receiver installed as my head unit.

My back stock speakers blew out and I need to replace them. Wondering if I should get 6x9s or 6.5s, and what particular models I should look for since they're not going to be amped.

I've heard mixed things about 6x9s and 6.5s. like 6x9s sounding really distorted and 6.5s having no low end at all.

I want just good, clear, full sounding speakers, some bass, but not booming that'd overwhelm everything and get muddy, and I'm saving for my wedding so an amp setup is out.

Btw I listen to mostly speed metal and techno(a la Dragonforce and Daft Punk) if that helps in the decision.

Thank you all for your opinions!

edit: i have an 01 ex coupe with the front tweeters if that changes anything.

You won't have overwelming bass with any regular speakers, they don't produce that much. But the 6x9's produce a little more bass, at least in my opinion.

i have those speakers replaced with pioneer 6x9's, they sound good and are pretty bassy for not being subs, if that makes sense. get them you'll like it.
