Good place to buy audio equipment in Canada?
This question is for the Canucks on the board - where do you buy your audio equipment? Crutchfield Canada seems a bit expensive; and there has to be a cheaper option than the big box stores (Futureshop, BestBuy et al). So who does everybody use for their audio purchases? Local shops? Good online store?
I don't have a problem buying audio equipment online from a US store if the prices are good; but you get completely nailed on customs fees.

I bought all my stereo equipment on EBay. Duty isn't that bad. I think I paid $8.95 in duty for my deck. Still way cheaper than if I had purchased it in a store. If you're here in Vancouver, a&b sound seems to have pretty good prices, and sometimes Visions. Ric's Radio is supposed to be a good local shop too I think.

if you were smart, you would buy from some website based in the US, as i beleive the Canadien dollar is worth more the the US dollar. Thus, saving money

I've just heard some horror stories about people ordering things from the 'States and then getting raped (without any form of lubrication) on duties and taxes at the border.
