FRYED CD PLAYERS????

Default FRYED CD PLAYERS????

If I want to test a CD player can I just hook it directly to the battery??? If so is it posssible that I have fryed 2 CD players and a stock stereo??? what could the problem be????

Yes, you can easily test it directly to the battery. Just wire the remote and power to the + battery and touch the black to a bare part metal part of the engine bay.

So do you think its possible to fry 2 cd players, maybe I went power to Ground?

possibly. DC means Direct Current. And 12V DC supply will only put out a direct current of 12V. Likewise, a car CD player takes 12V DC. So, it will be safe. DC doesnt alternate like AC power (aka Alternating Current). It is very possible you wired them backwards. Did it make a nasty spark or pop when you touched it to a battery?

Alright, the CD player is good, the voltage at the connector is over 12v, and the CD player still wont turn on. If there was a bad ground would voltage still show up. I dont know what the problem is, but It seems like I have tryed everything.
