my friend bought 2 xplod subs off his neighbor who had them in his stang , he only paid the guy $35, those subs kick hard!!!!!!! not sure how many watts and rms but theirrr loudddddd, dont know how long theyll last but for now i give them a+

 

looks good.... how much u pay??, my friend has a similar model, becareful with the turning *****, their real sensitive my friends broke off

 

oh that sucks. i got it on sale for $450 orginally $500. installation was like $100. its not too fancy but still has most of the good things.

 

xplod subs rock. the amps tho.. steer clear. they over heat very quickly.. even in the dead ofwinter. haha.

i have 2 12's and they hit hard as a mother.. just they wont go too long very loud cuz the amp will shut off.

i also have xplod hu and its only skipped a handful of times since ive had it.. and thats not from bass thats from a big bump on the road.

but back to topic haha.

double din over flip out ftw. looks cleaner

 

yea dude id rather have double din. but i kinda like my flip out too cause it can look like a radio too you just close the screen so if i just want to listen to the radio or something i dont have to open the monitor part.

 

i prefer double din cause it doesnt block the air vents... LMFAO


also one of the worst problems ive heard about flip out units is the mechanics breaking and either sticken in OR out....
BUT the good thing is you can put them in ANY car preaty much!


one of the best features on my alpine is the backgrounds you can add even tho alpines official backgrounds suck.. but i found a site that can convert your pictures into the file type that alpine uses
