Hey all-
I just installed an eclipse CD5444 in my 5th gen civic. The radio works fine, but when i put in a cd in just displays "reading" then does nothing. Do you know what is wrong, and can this problem be fixed by activating the security (ESN) with a key cd?
Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Since I am the self appointed Eclipse master of the forum ill help ya out.
I doubt that the ESN is the problem. If it was it would say: "Insert Key CD". I believe its your cd player that has crapped out. My 54410 crapped out on me like that too. Time to go shopping [&:].
Sorry, I checked on it and it was an older model I was thinking of. [:@] Anyway, you have a faulty unit with the same problem. Take it by an Eclipse dealer to check it out for you. You may also try reinserting the key cd but I doubt it will work.

If I'm not to late try reseting it there should be a pin size hole on the face somewhere. push the tiny button in there and it will reset you cd player. This works sometimes. If that doesn't work. definatly use that waranty and have them fix it eclipse is usually really good about fixing stuff. it might take a little longer then some but overall at they do a great job.
