Default Dual Amp Mounting question..

So I am about to install my new amp+component speakers in my car and I was brainstorming on how the trunk is gonna look after I have both amps in there and came up blank. Anyone have 2 amps in the trunk and want to share what your mounting looks like? I debated on just attaching them to the back of the seats, but when I did that with my single sub amp, the vibrations rattled out the screws and it fell lol.

I'm looking for a mid-grade mounting solution here. Nothing super fancy and expensive, but I also don't want it to look like *** back there either. I'm perfectly fine using plywood heheh.

Thanks !

well cannt help ya with pics BUT if your mounting the amps to the seat metal brackets.... be sure to use sheet metal screws and use some loctite on the screws... or your next option would be get some 1/2inch MDF and mount that to the back seat with a bunch of sheet metal screws also with loctite on them and then mount the amplifier to the mdf piece that way you can use more screws on the seats frame to spread the load out and the loctite should help hold the screws in tight also. just get some trunk carpet at your local autoparts store and glue it over the MDF so it looks nice still.

That looks pretty clean and nice! I think I will try the MDF route addiction .. I thought of making some kinda shelf or something, but the more I think about it the more lame it sounds lol

No cap, hopin' my new battery and stock alternator will keep me goin'. I don't pound too hard usually, and when I do it's rare so the lights flickering is ok with me. I just hope the new amp pullin' for my mids-highs wont completely overload. If so, I'll prolly just get a high output alternator instead of a cap.

I'm not sure about the crossovers. I will probably put my sub amp on the small back seat and my other on the larger one. That way I should have room to mount the cross overs right there next to the amp. I will know more once I pull the second 4ga this weekend and get an idea of how much play I have.

Lucky you, because you can use the seat backs. With my next install, I am planning on running a pair of Digital Designs 1508s direct fired into the cabin to hopefully eliminate trunk/spoiler rattle. Since my seat backs will be folded down most of the time, mounting on the back side of my enclosure will be my only choice
