have you tried one of those?
ive thought about one but i think my window tint would hurt the reception.....

yes tint will affect the antenna for that windshield mount but its amplified so its still decent. I liked it for my civic when I shaved my antenna

does that thing connect directly to the back of my radio?

yes it plugs right into the antenna hole in the back of the radio and it has a single wire you connect to the red wire behind your radio

im goin to look into that. ive always hated that long *** antenna. with it shaved its gonna look nice. thanks
