thanx guys, i just about the kinetik 1400... will i still need to add a cap for precautions or is it not necessary...

dont add a cap, if anything, get a higher amperage alternator from ebay.

The cap is just another strain on an alternator.....

DONT GET A CAP.... think about it.... a cap stores power and discharges power instantly..... YES. it takes like 1-2seconds to charge AND discharge a capacitor..

NOW charge and discharge a car battery..... it holds ALOT MORE POWER!!!!!!!

if you cannt fit alarger typcical size under the hood THEN look into a battery relocator kit and run wires from upfront all the way to the trunk where you can fit ANY size battery tho i will recomend a optima sealed battery cause battery fumes are serious!
but also a HIGHERPOWER ALTERNATOR is another MUST... but id do the new larger battery first then the higher power alternator...
thats my next thing to buy!

i should also ask... what size is your amplifier power wires? id hope 4gauge... if 8gauge that could be your problem thier....

its 4 gauge wire... the battery should be coming in this week and i'll get it mounted and i'll let you guys know how it sounds...
