how about old skool bass blockers? If the speaker's getting too many low's, and it doesn't have an EQ, those inline bass blockers can cut a little of it, but still no match for a decent small eq, maybe a 16 band trunk mounted. *thats if the high's are amped*

you need to ask your friend what his settings on the amp are on now...maybe its not even tuned right and thats having something to do with it.I know that when i got a bigger 4channel and when i got components in the front that it brought the sound up higher from the tweets and that helped alot.

lol tell him to enjoy all that bass!!! F*** the words, lol i notice on my system, the higher i turn the volume up on the headunit, the words start to come in more clearly, even though the bass is still bumpin out....almost like the words get to the same loudness level as the bass at real high volumes, but its a pretty ridiculous amount of volume, almost like you dont wanna be in the car lol so that prolly doesnt help

well first of all find out if ALL THE SPEAKERS ARE STILL WORKEN. LOL

i found out that my civic was starting to have the problem BUT it wasnt that way before...

i found out that BOTH my mid bass drivers were not working! one was a simple loose conection just needed crimped tighter..... and drivers midbass was a busted solder joint in the crossover.... luckely it was nothing a little wire and touch of solder couldnt fix sounds much louder again

Thanks for all the suggestions, I got to play around with his settings for sure, because on mine I can turn the bass right down till you cant even hear it. So Ill check that, if that dosent work, ill start checking on how he has eveything hooked up.

Thanks everyone!
