Do your big 3 n you should be good. I run ~5000 watts on my Caddy with a stock alt, it is a 140amp compared to civics 90 though.

i think your on the edge of the stock alts output. after you get it installed puy a meter on the pos & neg terminals of your bigger amp then turn it up to your listening level if it drops below like 12.4 i'd seriously think about doing a HO alt ,,,, amps like to clipp at low voltage and this will kill your subs, a extra battery will help but its just a band aid

it's like a battery but doesnt have much for reserve caps charge and discharge fast.. it would help but you need to find out what your voltage is dropping to and then go from there. you might be fine

Simple. Hook your sound system up, and yes, use a cap (1F i recommend) for your sub amp, Turn it up at night with your lights on, something dance or rap with nice doof, and see if your lights dimwith ever bass thump. If they do, get a bigger alternator

You generally dont need caps for speakers, cause the power drain is alot less and more constant. With subs, it requires lots of power in short bustscalled spikes, and caps, well they deliver lots of power in short bursts. The basic rule is 1F per 1000w. But the cap has to charge from somewhere... the battery. The fact remains that you may need a bigger alternater, with or without caps.
