Default alpine cd/mp3 receiver

does alpine really live up to it's name? i hear so many good things about them and want to put one in my 01 civic.

Alpine is definately top of the line... If you wanna dish out the money then I say go for it.

i used to work in a car hifi shop and we used to sell at least 5 alpinr to every other model. i even have a alpine my self which is my pride and joy.
spec of unit:
Alpine CDA-9813R
60w X 4
MP3/CD/WMA
R.D.S
Dedicated subwoofer out
AUX IN
2 X AUX OUT
Motorised face panel
dab control (optional extra)
remote
.....and the list goes on!
give it a go

i have an alpine head with an alpine 6 disc changer in the trunk. i've never had any problems.

i gotta agree with everyone else here....i got a full alpine system consisting of a Cd-A7894 head unit and two 12" Type R's
alpine is not made for the beginner i dont think tho. im a huge audiophile so i use every single option. so the options are very in depth and not the most user friendly. so it might take some getting used to. some may agrue that alpine is falling off...but i say screw that u wont find better amplified head units from anyone else

well from wat i've seen so far my alpine system works fine. i have a ghostface alpine radio(da one that hides in da dash) and an alpine cd changer and they are great. i'm thinkin about sellin the whole system. let me know if ur interested. i'll post pics of it on here later on today

wuz up. well yea the live up to their name. i have an alpine system in my truck im tryin 2 get rid of. its da one that hides in da dash when da car is off right along with the alpine cd changer. if ur interested hit me up on here or email me at bemberry1@msn.com.
i included pics. tha radio pic looks blurry but you'll get an idea and thats the changer and dvd player in the armrest

Alpine is not top of the line but one of the better mid high recievers. But they do lack in the speaker and amp department. But you definetly cant go worng with Alpine baby!

You CANNOT go wrong with Alpine! I've owned nothing but Alpine's and never had any problems. I currently have the CDA 9833 installed in my Civic and I love it. I can't wait to get the KCA-420i so I can hookup my iPod. Alpine might not be as user friendly as other brands, but it's defintely one of the most powerful and respected in the industry.
