I like the headlights. I had the stock ones in there with HID's and got a ticket the second day after putting them in. So i now have to buy HID's for these.

what kit did you use? most of the hid kits are d.o.t approved

What kind of HID kit did you use? The reason you probably got a ticket is because HID's in stock or halo headlights scatter the light everywhere. The only way to get around this is to do a retro-fit of a stock headlight, that comes with HIDs from the factory, into your headlights.

I had 10k in my stock housing. You are right the light was every where. And there wasn't a dim just the highs. I paid $370 for them. If I would of knew they did that I would of got the high/low kit for another $20. But you live and u learn. Lol

The kit I was running I don't think they were Dot approved.

I am pretty sure that no HID kit is D.O.T. approved to be used in a non-HID designed housing.

Also, the high-low kit would not have changed a thing besides given you high beam functionality. Light would still be scattered on low beam.
